Since our founding in 1932, we at Tanaka Sangyo have been dedicated to towel manufacturing as a member of the ”Imabari Towel Industrial Association,” which supports the Imabari towel industry.
One of the things we value is a ”passion for always embracing new things.” Without being bound by our company's history, we have always passionately tackled the development of products and sales channels that are needed now.
Furthermore, we aim to be ”a company that is comfortable for both those who use our towels and those who make them.” This is because we believe that the comfort of the people who make our towels is an essential part of the quality of our towels. Therefore, we strive to create a comfortable working environment, including air conditioning and dust collection equipment in our factories.
Towels are the first thing that wraps a newborn baby, and they are a lifelong companion for people of all ages and genders. We will continue to pursue towel manufacturing that only we can achieve, so that our brand ”GOLDPEARL” becomes a ”household staple” for everyone.
We deliver towels with ”100% Quality Assurance”
through our unique integrated production line.
The towel manufacturing process involves over 20 specialized steps, including warping, dyeing, and weaving. Even among the approximately 100 member companies of the ”Imabari Towel Industrial Association,” it is common to outsource each process. At our company, we manufacture towels through an integrated process that encompasses all steps, from our main factory to our group company factories. Furthermore, we inspect each and every towel with a dual system of human eyes and the latest needle detection machines.
”GOLDPEARL” towels are made with ”100% Quality Assurance,” delivered through our reliable ”integrated production” system.
The delicate hues and designs are born from advanced dyeing techniques.
Dyeing is said to be ”a living thing.” Even using the same dyes, it is extremely difficult to reproduce the same color, as the seasons and weather also have an impact. Therefore, the ”human touch” of the artisan, including dye mixing and time management, is the most crucial element.
Our group company, Toyo Sen-i Co., Ltd., has been responsible for the dyeing of Imabari towels since its establishment in 1951, with over 60 years of ”human touch” passed down through generations, along with technology for accurate color reproduction.
A new world of towels, born from the art of blending high-quality cotton.
The cotton used as raw material for towels has various characteristics depending on the climate and variety of its origin. We use cotton yarn that combines various characteristics such as fiber length, thickness, water absorbency, and softness from cotton grown all over the world. By blending high-quality cotton, we create towels with diverse textures and high functionality.
In addition, we sometimes jointly develop cotton yarn not available on the market with spinning companies, pursuing high-quality towels unique to our company.
