Utage Series – Tableware as Visual Entertainment

The Utage (meaning “feast” or “celebration”) series was born from a desire to create tableware that allows people to discover value in the everyday—where even the supporting elements of a meal become visually captivating and full of character.

Designed to enhance both the function and atmosphere of the dining table, Utage is a tableware brand themed around entertainment at the table.

This series is a collaboration between two creative minds:
– Kazushige Miyake, a renowned product designer whose portfolio spans home appliances, furniture, lifestyle goods, and traditional crafts.
– Nobuyuki Ogawa, a ceramic artist from a Kyo-yaki/Kiyomizu-yaki kiln family, now known for his bold and expressive work.

Together, they bring tradition and modernity into harmony—crafting pieces that not only serve, but delight.

Kōjitsu Series – Fragrance Dishes for Beautiful Everyday Moments

Named Kōjitsu—a poetic play on the Zen phrase “Nichinichi kore kōnichi” (“Every day is a good day”)—this fragrance dish series was designed to bring beauty and calm into everyday life through scent.

Each piece features a glittering, luminous finish created by combining textured glaze particles with palladium or gold, offering a refined yet playful presence.

The collection is available in a wide range of color variations to suit different moods and interiors.

A collaboration between Kyoto-based ceramic artist Nobuyuki Ogawa and AKIRA MABUCHI DESIGN, this series harmonizes traditional craftsmanship with modern design sensibility.
