Crafting the Future with 300 Years of Tradition – KAMAHACHI
Founded in 1714, our company traces its roots back to a master metal caster who served the Maeda clan of the Kaga Domain. Based in Kanazawa, Ishikawa—an area rich in craftsmanship heritage—we specialize in traditional sand casting and advanced metal refining, including materials used in aerospace engineering.
Combining industrial expertise with refined aesthetics, we have launched our lifestyle brand KAMAHACHI, which transforms everyday spaces through beautifully crafted metal objects.
Embracing a circular manufacturing philosophy, we upcycle metal waste into meaningful design. For example, we repurpose used aluminum cans from iconic locations such as Hyatt Centric Kanazawa and Kenrokuen Garden into elegant tableware.
As a selected supplier for the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, we are contributing to the Future Life Village by crafting sign stands made from disaster debris from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake—preserving memory through material and design.

CEO message
300 Years of Heritage, Crafting for the Next 300
— Where Industry Meets Craftsmanship —
Our journey began over 400 years ago, in 1611, when our metal casting techniques were recognized by Lord Maeda Toshinaga of the Kaga Domain—laying the foundation for what is now known as Takaoka casting. Over the centuries, our artisans have created not only highly decorative items such as furnishings, armor, and temple bells, but also essential everyday tools like pots and kettles that became staples in Japanese households.
Our traditional sand casting techniques have been passed down since the Edo period, constantly evolving to meet the demands of each era. From refining metals used in aerospace components to crafting beautifully designed lifestyle products, our mission remains unchanged: to create tools that enrich people’s lives.
As we look to the future, we are committed to responsible, circular manufacturing—recycling Earth’s limited resources into simple, meaningful forms. Just as metal flows from solid to liquid and back again, we embrace changing societal needs with flexibility and intention.
By honoring our past and shaping a new standard of beauty, we aim to carry this legacy forward—for the next 300 years and beyond.

Crafting Tools That Speak to the Soul of Everyday Life
In the Edo period, under the name Kamahachi, Hachiroemon Kanamori cast iron pots and kettles—essential tools that supported daily life in the kitchens of Kanazawa. The family crest, Uragikubishi, is a reverse-view interpretation of the traditional Kaga clan’s Kikubishi pattern, symbolizing a deep-rooted loyalty to the Maeda lords. Our founder, a master caster who served the Kaga Domain, deeply understood the value of integrating seasonal beauty and joy into everyday life.
Today, that sense of appreciation is harder to find. Even in Ishikawa, a region known for its love of ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), people’s lives have become so fast-paced that they rarely have the time or mental space to enjoy the simple act of displaying flowers or thoughtfully preparing a meal.
Consider the hesitation of placing a vase in a home with children or pets—it might fall, break, or cause worry. Or think of how rarely we now take the time to choose a cutlery rest or set a table with intention. These moments of quiet joy are quietly disappearing.
KAMAHACHI was born from a desire to help reclaim those everyday cultural luxuries. Carrying on the traditional sand-casting techniques of the domain era, we create products that offer small, serene moments in the midst of modern life—moments that ground us, calm us, and gently connect us to the beauty of living.
This is what Kanamori Alloy believes should be passed on to the next generation: tools that enrich life not just functionally, but emotionally.
