Video on our History

Since 2006, we have exhibited at international trade shows, delivering our products to customers around the world.
In 2014, we launched our new brand “isuke,” in collaboration with both Japanese and international designers. Our aim is to revive the timeless beauty of lacquerware by blending exceptional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics—creating products that bring a subtle sense of joy to everyday life.

CEO message
The Japanese word “urushi”—lacquer—is said to have originated from “uruwashii”, meaning “beautiful” or “graceful.” Lacquerware, in our view, is not something reserved only for special occasions. Rather, it is meant to be part of everyday life—bringing quiet beauty and refinement into our daily routines.
Through our lacquerware, we aim to deliver a sense of elegance and richness to your lifestyle. We believe that even a small moment of joy can be found in the presence of finely crafted pieces. Although modern living has shifted from traditional Japanese to more Western styles, lacquerware still blends seamlessly with contemporary interiors. A slight refinement in form or design is all it takes for these timeless objects to bring warmth and depth into any space.
It is with this vision that we continue to design and offer lacquerware—crafts that not only honor tradition but also resonate with the sensibilities of today.
Our Brand: A Contemporary Take on Traditional Lacquerware.
At isuke, our original lacquerware brand, we offer a modern reinterpretation of traditional craftsmanship. Our designs are simple and contemporary, allowing the rich hues of urushi, the natural textures of wood, and the refined beauty of decorative techniques to shine through—clearly and elegantly.
Beyond tableware, we are expanding our collection to include a diverse range of items, from lifestyle accessories to art panels. Each piece is crafted to bring the essence of Japanese aesthetics into everyday life, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity.
