This is a work by Noboru Yamada, a traditional craftsman. The skills of Noboru Yamada, a Kyoto kimono gold leaf artisan, have been captured in this glass vessel. As each piece is handmade, no two are exactly alike.

Mukaizuru ni Kirihaku "向鶴に切箔" describes a design where two cranes facing each other are decorated with cut gold leaf. The gold leaf likely highlights specific parts of the cranes or creates intricate patterns on their bodies, adding a touch of luxury and elegance to the design.
