This is an original tea canister by Fujiki Denshiro Shoten, featuring cherry bark that peeks out like a belt. By shortening the outer cylinder of a standard tea canister, the cherry bark of the inner cylinder is exposed, accentuating the color of the wooden outer cylinder. While innovative in design for kabazaiku, it fully utilizes the unique characteristics of the materials and techniques, making it a distinctive piece of kabazaiku. The inner cylinder is entirely covered with cherry bark, allowing you to enjoy the contrast when the outer lid is removed. Additionally, the inner lid is deeper than usual and lacks a knob, enabling it to be used as a scoop when transferring tea leaves to a teapot. Care Guide
・Please use the product correctly according to its original purpose and intended use.
・Avoid using it in the refrigerator, as extreme dryness may cause the surface bark to peel or the product to warp.
・Do not soak in water or hot water, and do not use in a dishwasher.
・Do not use it in a microwave or oven.
・To prevent the cherry bark from peeling, avoid getting it wet. Additionally, do not leave it in a highly humid place for an extended period.
・To prevent warping, cracking, or discoloration, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight.
・Avoid sudden temperature changes caused by contact with heated or cooled items, as this may cause discoloration, warping, or cracking.
・Be careful not to subject it to strong shocks, such as dropping it, as it may cause damage.
Among the kabazaiku (cherry bark craft) products, those with a polished finish are left uncoated to allow you to enjoy the natural texture of the material. Therefore, please avoid moisture as much as possible. If it gets wet, wipe it off immediately with a soft, dry cloth.
When closing the lid, align the seams of the main body and the lid. Both the body and the lid are made using a single wooden mold, so aligning the seams will allow the lid to close smoothly.
Please note that as each piece is handcrafted, there may be slight individual differences in the fit of the outer and inner lids.
Tea canisters maintain an appropriate level of humidity, allowing tea leaves to be stored in good condition.
The exterior is coated with urethane, allowing for wiping with water or light rinsing. However, while it repels moisture, it cannot be soaked in water or hot water, nor can it be used in a dishwasher.
