This original tea canister from Fujiki Denshiro Shoten features a distinctive cherry bark accent that elegantly peeks through like a decorative sash. By shortening the outer cylinder, the inner cherry bark layer is revealed, creating a refined contrast with the rich color of the outer wood. While innovative in design, this tea canister beautifully highlights the craftsmanship and unique qualities inherent to traditional Kabazaiku cherry bark work.
The inner cylinder is fully lined with cherry bark, creating a striking visual contrast against the outer cylinder when the lid is removed. Additionally, the inner lid is designed deeper than standard and omits a handle, allowing it to conveniently double as a tea scoop when transferring tea leaves into a teapot. The canister’s color evokes the deep, serene snowfalls of Kakunodate.

Care Guide
・Please use the product correctly in accordance with its intended purpose and usage.
・Avoid using it in a refrigerator, as excessive dryness may cause peeling of the surface bark or distortion of the product.
・Do not soak in water or hot water, and do not use in a dishwasher.
・Do not use in a microwave or oven.
・To prevent the peeling of cherry bark, avoid exposing the product to water. Also, do not leave it in highly humid environments for extended periods.
・To prevent warping, cracking, or discoloration, avoid direct sunlight.
・Avoid sudden temperature changes caused by contact with heated or cooled objects, as this may lead to discoloration, warping, or cracking.
・Be cautious of strong impacts, such as dropping, as they may cause damage.
Among the kabazaiku products, those with a polished finish are not coated to allow you to enjoy the natural texture of the material. Therefore, avoid exposure to moisture as much as possible. If the product comes into contact with moisture, wipe it off immediately with a soft, dry cloth.
Align the seams of the body and the lid when closing the lid. Both the body and the lid are made using a single wooden mold, so aligning the seams ensures smooth closure.
Please note that as each product is handcrafted, there may be slight individual differences in how the inner and outer lids close.
The tea container maintains an appropriate level of humidity, keeping tea leaves in good condition for storage.
The exterior has a urethane coating, so it can be wiped with a damp cloth or lightly rinsed with water.
However, while it repels water, do not soak it in water or hot water, and do not use it in a dishwasher.
