"漆磨 SHI-MOA" is a brand that seamlessly blends the metalworking expertise of Tsubame City in Niigata Prefecture with the traditional artistry of "Yamanaka Lacquerware" from Kaga City in Ishikawa Prefecture. By combining these time-honored cultural legacies, Shi-ma creates pieces that embody a classic aesthetic while simultaneously possessing a modern sensibility.

The innovative "stainless steel x lacquer" lacquerware is a testament to the skill and adventurous spirit of lacquer artisans. Applying lacquer, a natural finish derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, to stainless steel imbues the metal with an unexpected warmth and depth.
