"漆磨 SHI-MOA" is a brand that fuses the metalworking technology of Tsubame City in Niigata Prefecture with "Yamanaka Lacquerware," a traditional craft from Kaga City in Ishikawa Prefecture. By combining these long-standing cultural traditions, Shi-ma creates items that exude a classic yet modern atmosphere.

The "stainless steel x lacquer" lacquerware was born from the skills and adventurous spirit of lacquerware artisans. Applying lacquer, derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, to stainless steel imparts a warmth and depth not found in the metal alone.

"Kagerou" and "Tsuki-awase" are each crafted from high-quality Tsubame stainless steel and individually hand-finished by lacquer artisans, making them truly unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. As you cherish and use them over time, you'll also enjoy the way their appearance evolves and develops a rich patina.
