The shaping of the base material is done using the "mizukote" method, where clay is placed into a plaster mold, rotated, and shaped by smoothing the material with water and a spatula. This method is mainly suitable for forming circular shapes such as rice bowls, teacups, mugs, and plates, requiring the skilled craftsmanship of artisans. Afterward, the material is dried and trimmed to refine the shape. In porcelain, the final trimming is an essential process for defining the shape, demanding advanced expertise. The shaped material is then bisque-fired at 920°C over two days. A unique glaze is individually applied with a brush, followed by reduction firing at 1,300°C over three days. Finally, platinum decoration is added as an overglaze and fired at 800°C to complete the process.
