Flat Plate (Large) 270mm - Platinum

A refined platinum nine-sun plate. It can be used as a serving dish or as a plate for individual main courses in restaurants. With a diameter of 27 cm, this plate is known as a nine-sun plate and is a versatile dish suitable for serving. Its impressive size makes it frequently used for individual main courses in restaurants. The shaping of the base material is done using a technique called "mizukote," where clay is placed in a plaster mold, spun, and shaped smoothly with the use of water and a spatula. This method is particularly suitable for forming circular items such as rice bowls, teacups, cups, and plates, and requires the skilled craftsmanship of artisans. Afterward, the dried material is trimmed to refine its shape. For porcelain, the final trimming is essential for defining the shape and requires advanced techniques by skilled artisans. The formed base is then bisque-fired at 920°C over two days, followed by the application of a unique glaze using a brush for each piece, and reduction-fired at 1300°C over three days. Next, platinum is overglazed and fired at 800°C to complete the process. Inspired by Japan's powder snow, it is expressed with platinum, which shines deeply and eternally. Using a proprietary platinum formula blended with the secret techniques passed down through the Yazaemon kiln, artisans apply it one by one with a brush, creating shadows from the strokes and achieving a deep brilliance. It has a shine close to silver but does not tarnish or blacken like silver does and is dishwasher-safe.
