This is a 26cm square cutting board with a compact, square design. Since I want to keep cutting boards clean at all times, I often use and wash them repeatedly during cooking. "la base" cutting board makes this repetitive process easier. It has a thickness of 25mm, providing durability. It is self-standing, so it can be dried upright, making it easy to store without taking up much space. It is user-friendly and conveniently sized for storage. By combining multiple boards, you can adjust the size freely according to ingredients or purposes. You can place two boards side by side to create a rectangular board for cutting long ingredients, or combine four boards to handle larger items or create a workspace for cooking. It can also be used not only as a cutting board but as a serving board for cheese, snacks, cakes, and more.
■ About Rubberwood
"la base" cutting boards are made of rubberwood. Rubberwood is not typically sourced from natural forests but is cultivated for the purpose of extracting latex, the raw material for rubber. Rubberwood trees start producing latex around 5 to 10 years of age, and after approximately 25 to 30 years, they complete their productive lifespan and are felled for forest renewal. The process of planting and felling is systematically repeated to ensure the sustainability of rubberwood resources.
