This is a small-sized bonbonnière (a candy box) from the "MIMOSA" series, created with the desire to propose a new lacquerware suitable for heartfelt gifts. The motif for the design is the mimosa flower, which is rare in lacquerware. The mimosa is illustrated adorably on black or white lacquer with a simple and modern design.
A bonbonnière is a round lidded box in French, traditionally used for holding candies or sugar confections. In addition to sweets, it can also be casually used as a container for accessories or small items.
The flower language of mimosa is "gratitude." Since it blooms from February to March, signaling the arrival of spring, it is also called the "flower of happiness." In countries like Italy, March 8th, "International Women's Day," is a day to gift mimosa flowers to women.
This custom of giving mimosa to women we appreciate has been spreading globally in recent years. The mimosa design is truly perfect as a gift for women. It can be used as a birthday present for your wife, girlfriend, partner, or friends, as well as a gift for Mother's Day or Respect for the Aged Day, expressing your gratitude. The base colors are black and white lacquer. The mimosa design is featured not only on the lid but also on the sides, allowing you to fully enjoy the contrast between the lacquer and the mimosa pattern.
The black lacquer has been intentionally finished with a subdued matte texture, creating a calm appearance. On this, the small yellow mimosa flowers pop charmingly. The interior is a matching yellow, which creates a bright and cheerful impression when the lid is opened. The white lacquer, typically in a beige-like tone, gives a gentle and soothing impression. The interior is a refreshing and calm green, matching the color of the leaves, enhancing its elegance.
