Kuukan Chuzo, based in the Mizusawa area of Iwate Prefecture—one of the most renowned production regions for Nambu Tekki (Nambu ironware)—crafts simple, modern iron tools that harmonize beautifully with contemporary living, all while preserving time-honored techniques.

Each piece is made using the traditional namagata casting method, in which molten iron is poured into sand molds. This technique allows the iron’s raw, tactile character to emerge vividly on the surface, giving each item a unique texture and depth.

The teapot’s gently rounded, egg-like form is perfectly balanced by the clean lines of its knob, creating a design that feels both warm and refined.

This particular color variation is a rare edition, available only through select distribution channels.

Please note: this item is a teapot. Its interior is coated with enamel to help prevent rust and is not suitable for use over direct heat.
