Crafted by Kukan Chuzou in Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture—a renowned center for traditional Japanese ironware—this iron teapot seamlessly blends classic design with modern functionality. Inspired by the iconic "Nanbu-gata" teapot, this piece is meticulously crafted using the namagata casting method, preserving the raw, earthy texture of the iron.
The interior is coated with enamel to prevent rust, making it both beautiful and practical. (Please note that the underside of the lid and the joint between the lid and the body are prone to rust. While this is harmless, it is a natural part of the aging process.)
