Nanbu Ironware Kettle Large
Crafted by Kukan Chuzou, a foundry based in Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture—one of Japan's foremost centers for traditional ironware—this iron kettle offers a simple, modern design that complements contemporary lifestyles. Meticulously crafted using the ancient namagata casting method, the kettle's raw, earthy texture is a testament to the enduring beauty of iron.
Brewed in this kettle, water takes on a remarkably sweet and delicious flavor. Experience the joy of a perfect cup of tea.
Care Instructions:
- After use, empty the kettle while it's still hot and remove the lid to allow the interior to dry with the residual heat. Moisture can cause rust. Regularly wipe the spout and lid with a dry cloth.
- When using on a gas stove, the exterior may discolor due to high heat. For minimal discoloration, use a very low heat setting to avoid direct contact with the flame.
- IH cooktops cause less discoloration compared to gas stoves.
- This is an iron kettle. A tea strainer is not included.
