Crafted by Kukan Chuzou, a foundry based in Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture—one of Japan's foremost centers for traditional ironware—this iron kettle offers a simple, modern design that complements contemporary lifestyles. Meticulously crafted using the ancient namagata casting method, the kettle's raw, earthy texture is a testament to the enduring beauty of iron.

About the Artist: Hisao Iwashimizu Born in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture in 1964, Hisao Iwashimizu has been involved in the world of cast iron since 1989. His work, characterized by its simple yet elegant forms, has been exhibited in renowned venues such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2009, he established Kukan Chuzou, a foundry dedicated to creating contemporary ironware.
