This particular design takes its motif from the Shishigatai Pumpkin, a traditional Kyoto pumpkin. The bowl’s gentle curves and distinctive coloring faithfully reflect the Shishigatani pumpkin’s unique character, achieved through expert lacquer techniques and wheel-turning craftsmanship. It brings a warm, Kyoto-like charm to your everyday dining table. The design is by Kazushige Miyake (miyake design), a renowned designer known for his work with MUJI and other product designs. It is available in three colors: pumpkin-inspired yellow, classic black, and traditional vermilion red.
