Color: Red

The "KOROMO" series offers a harmonious blend of natural wood texture, rich lacquer color, and the refined beauty of makie (gold or silver powder decoration). This sake cup allows you to enjoy the tactile warmth of wood with the elegance of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

The upper half is finished in vermilion or black lacquer, while the lower half is left clear to reveal the natural wood grain. Between the two, a single line of makie—gold for vermilion, silver for black—adds a graceful accent. The result is a simple yet sophisticated design that brings subtle beauty to everyday dining.

Wooden sake cups are rarely seen, but they offer an exceptionally smooth, gentle feel against the lips—an experience that's both refined and comforting. The lacquer finish uses the "mehajiki" technique, allowing the wood grain to show through and giving the piece a relaxed, approachable charm for daily use.

Available in two elegant styles: Vermilion with a gold line, Black with a silver line

These cups make excellent gifts as a pair—perfect for weddings, golden or silver anniversaries. Thanks to their lightweight wooden construction, they are also ideal for gifts on occasions such as Respect-for-the-Aged Day, Mother’s or Father’s Day, or milestone birthdays like 60th (Kanreki), 77th (Kiju), or 88th (Beiju).

Beautiful, practical, and full of meaning, the KOROMO cup makes every meal feel special.
