In the first stroke of the character "夜" (night), a bright shining star is depicted, and in the second stroke, a shooting star.
Interestingly, though it wasn’t intentional, the "月" (moon) part on the right side of the character "明" (light) ended up resembling a crescent moon.
Thin lines are used throughout, and each component of the characters is drawn compactly to evoke the stillness of dawn.

Meet the Maker: Ryugen

Ryugen's journey began at 26 after a period of deep self-reflection sparked by depression. One day, the answer became clear—writing characters. Encouraged by a spiritual counselor’s insight into a past life spent with a brush, he pursued calligraphy, starting formal training at 29 and becoming a full-time calligrapher at 34. His work centers on awakening consciousness through art.
