A towel blanket has been created that feels as if you are being embraced by a stuffed animal—light, fluffy, and soft. It is named the "Teddyket." Made entirely of 100% cotton, it uses supremely soft and long-staple Pima cotton from America. The pile is woven with 1.5 times the usual length, giving it a voluminous feel, yet it weighs only 1000g, making it surprisingly light. The secret to balancing lightness and volume lies in a special hollow yarn. Hollow yarn has straw-like cavities inside the fine threads. While Fujitaka has previously used this technology in lightweight towels, the Teddyket uses newly developed hollow yarn with a 50% hollow ratio for even greater lightness. This yarn is used for 70% of the pile portion, while the warp threads of the base fabric are made with ordinary yarn, and the weft threads use hollow yarn with a 20% hollow ratio to ensure both lightness and durability. As a result, the weight is reduced to under 1kg, compared to 1.5kg for a product of similar volume, achieving a fluffiness so light you'll forget you're covered. Alongside the development of hollow yarn, improvements were also made to the twisting process to make the yarn softer. The inspiration came from zero-twist yarn, a supremely fluffy type of yarn often used in towels, created with a special technique to remove the twist. However, fully zero-twist yarn can sometimes result in noticeable fuzziness in the finished product. For this reason, we developed a new ultra-low twist yarn that approaches zero twist through advanced techniques. This minimizes fuzziness while retaining the soft, fluffy texture of zero-twist yarn. To further reduce fuzz, the finishing wash performed at the factory after weaving was done carefully through a soaking method. The Teddyket is a towel blanket that can be used year-round. While towel blankets are often associated with summer, the Teddyket, with its fluffy, stuffed-animal-like texture and the generous use of hollow yarn that traps air, is warm enough to substitute for a blanket in winter. Naturally, it also retains the moisture absorption, breathability, and quick-drying properties unique to cotton, making it practical for use in all seasons. Additionally, the gentle cream color, reminiscent of a teddy bear, is the natural color of the cotton itself. Just like your favorite stuffed animal, this cozy blanket will keep you company throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Care Guide

〇Before First Use ・We recommend rinsing new towels with water once before use for a more comfortable experience. While some lint may come off initially, it will become less noticeable after a few washes. *Excluding towels made with untwisted yarn. ・Storing new towels for long periods can cause color fading. 〇Washing Instructions ・We recommend washing on a cycle with a high water level. ・Drum washing machines clean by pounding laundry with less water, which may stiffen the towel's pile. If using a drum washing machine, use the drying function to ensure a fluffy finish. ・Avoid washing with items that have zippers or Velcro, as they may snag the towel's pile. 〇Choosing a Detergent ・Avoid detergents with fluorescent agents or chlorine-based bleach as they may cause discoloration. ・Refrain from using fabric softeners, as they may reduce the towel's absorbency. Fabric softeners are recommended only for towels that have become stiff over time. 〇Drying Instructions ・Excessive spin-drying can flatten and stiffen the pile. ・Do not leave towels unattended after spin-drying, as the pile may harden while flattened. Hang them promptly. ・Avoid strong sunlight, as it may cause discoloration and stiffen the towel. Dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. ・Leaving wet towels unattended may lead to odors, mold, or bacteria growth. 〇To Maintain Volume ・To keep towels soft and fluffy, hold both ends of the towel and shake it in the air when hanging it to dry. This helps the fibers stand up and ensures a plush finish. 〇Storage Instructions ・Store towels in a fluffy state without compressing them as much as possible. ・As towels absorb moisture, store them in a well-ventilated area. 〇If the Pile Gets Snagged ・Towels are delicate fabrics and may snag on nails or other objects. ・If the pile becomes stretched, trim it at the base with scissors, being careful not to damage the towel's base fabric. ・If the hem or edges fray, sewing over them with a sewing machine can prevent further unraveling.
