WABI contemporary

Wabi—the quiet elegance of Ginkaku-ji.
In the Reiwa era, we cherish the distinctly Japanese sense of beauty that has evolved over generations.

"WABI contemporary" by hide k 1896 redefines wabi aesthetics—not merely austere, but delicate, graceful, intellectual, and at times globally resonant.

It is a modern interpretation of wabi, elevated to meet contemporary sensibilities.

TRANSWOOD®

The "les trois collection" is made from TRANSWOOD®, an eco-friendly material developed by brand founder Hideyuki Kasuga, based on the concept of a “material that lasts 100 years.”

This recyclable, earth-conscious material combines wood-derived fibers with biomass resin made from used cooking oil.
Each piece has a unique wood-like texture—no two are exactly the same.

Packaging
Each item is delivered in a reusable linen pouch.
